
Camp Date: June 14-17, 2026
- Cost: $475 covers camp tuition, all meals, three nights lodging in Texas State University residence hall, all instructional materials and supplies, and a camp T-shirt
- Either experience OR formal education needed.
- This camp is meant for campers who have been Athletic Training Student Aides at their school
- Please provide written documentation from the supervising athletic trainer with the application.***
- Many campers who attend the Intermediate Athletic Training Summer Camp have year(s) of experience helping with sports teams, but no formal education.
- OR campers who have taken TSATA’s Sports Medicine course(s) or a Health Science course that may be offered at their school.
- These courses may not be offered at all schools.
- Evidence of enrollment/completion of these course(s) must accompany the application at time of registration and be demonstrated through the submission of a high school transcript or letter from their high school counselor or course instructor.***
- If the camper has already taken one of these courses AND has experience, please see our Advanced Camp.
- OR campers eligible for this camp may have also attended Texas State University’s Beginner Athletic Training Summer Camp in previous years.
- Please indicate year of attendance on application.
- Please be prepared with ALL documentation at the time of registration.
- This camp is meant for campers who have been Athletic Training Student Aides at their school
- Topics covered by Texas State’s nationally certified (ATC) and Texas Licensed (LAT) faculty and staff athletic trainers:
- Prevention, recognition, immediate care of athletic-related injuries
- General medical conditions
- Rehab principles
- LOTS of practice with taping and bandaging techniques!
- In order to accommodate those with previous experience with taping, we will also have an advanced taping session during the Intermediate Athletic Training Summer Camp.
