Graduate Teaching & Research Assistantships

The Department of Health and Human Performance annually awards competitive graduate assistantships to highly qualified individuals interested in serving as teaching assistants. The majority of Graduate Teaching Assistants instruct classes in our Personal Fitness and Wellness Program (i.e., individual and team sports, weight training, yoga etc.), or our Exercise and Sport Science laboratory classes (i.e., Exercise Physiology). There are also, at times, opportunities for graduate students to serve as research assistants. Selection is based on the students’ academic background and professional experience. Applications can be accessed via the following link Graduate Assistantship. The application deadline to be considered for hire during the Fall semester is February 1st preceding Spring semester; and the Spring semester is November 1st during the preceding Fall semester.

AT students only: Opportunities for clinical graduate assistantships are also available in FALL semesters to athletic training students who have graduated or plan to graduate from a CAATE-accredited institution.  Application can be accessed via the following link AT Clinical Graduate Assistantship and it must be completed prior to February 1st.
