Admissions Requirements

Admission Process

The Exercise and Sport Science Graduate Admission Committee embraces a holistic approach in evaluating applicant’s materials. Members of the Admissions Committee carefully review all of the required documents (i.e., GPA, GRE score, letters of reference, resume, and professional goals narrative). Applicants must electronically submit their application to the Graduate College at www.applytexas.org.  Additional supporting documents must be submitted through Graduate Admission Documents

After thoroughly reviewing the applicant’s materials the committee forwards one of the following recommendations to the Graduate Coordinator; 1) Admit, 2) Conditional Admission, 3) Deny Admission. The Graduate Coordinator forwards the Committee’s recommendations to the Graduate School and the Graduate School informs the applicant of their admission status.

Timeline

Once the Graduate College receives all of the applicant’s materials the Graduate Coordinator is notified. The Graduate Coordinator then distributes the applicant’s materials to the Graduate Admission Committee. The entire review process is completed within four-six weeks from the time the Graduate Coordinator receives the applicant’s completed materials.
